I am a 1st generation American of Mexican descent; born and raised in LA County. Married (to Lilia) with three adult children (David Octavio, Michael John and Christina Catherine). Attended LIFE Bible College and BIOLA University. I’ve held various jobs including: grocery clerk, bus boy, dishwasher, personal shopper, sales rep, sales analyst, sales trainer, assistant manager, store manager, district manager, HR rep, and sales consultant. I’ve volunteered as a chaplain with LA Sheriffs and Whittier PD. Currently I work as a bi-vocational pastor: Mosaic Whittier and Corporate Account Executive-ll for AT&T Mobility.

I have a speech impediment and dyslexia.

After dating Lilia for two months, I asked her to marry me.
We married on July 7th, 1979.
